My Take
This is the podcast I listen to when I want the 'clean' institutional view. No hot takes, no shouting — just Goldman's chief economists and strategists laying out how they see rates, geopolitics, and market risk. It's a completely different world from the indie VC podcasts I listen to. The framing is careful, measured, and backed by the kind of research teams that actually move markets. As an econ student, hearing how Wall Street constructs its macro narratives is genuinely educational.
What I find most interesting is comparing what Goldman says here versus what you hear from the All-In guys or VC Twitter. Big money thinks about risk fundamentally differently — longer time horizons, more emphasis on tail risks, less narrative-driven. Episodes are short enough to fit in a commute, and you always come away with a sharper sense of where the institutional consensus sits. That consensus might be wrong, but knowing what it is gives you an edge.
